Akoon wrote: I pursue a course in medicine and surgery. My father is blind. I graduated from high school in 2014 but joined university in 2023 ( after 9 years) due to a lack of financial support to study. I generated some money for my school during that time with my mother by growing groundnuts. That saving covered three semesters but August 2024 my tuition fee will go uncoverd.
My rationale for studying medicine is to reduce maternal mortality rate in our village, Padoc area of Akop Payam. South Sudan has the highest maternal mortality rate in the region, and Padoc area contributes to this. My community health initiative (Yar Arol Rural Health Initiative) is in its final stage. I will implement it if I finish my studies.
